Lost on the Interstate
I’m tired. We’ve driven close to 2000 miles so far, and as of right now I’m somewhere in Utah still 2 days from home. We’ve survived - actually, we’ve triumphed over the challenges of illness (in multiple forms that you do NOT want me to describe in detail), snow (and I mean lots of snow - the kind that you cannot see in front of the car with and you drive 15 miles per hour on the highway which normally has a posted speed limit of 75 miles per hour praying that you’re still in a lane, any lane, and that you’ll make it to your destination), lack of sleep, cranky children, closed interstate (due to the aforementioned storm) and too much family togetherness in the form of a minivan.
At this point, I have to gush about how awesome and wonderful my family is. And about how great Scott and the boys have been on this adventure. And about how much I love how well everyone travels.
And I can’t wait to get home. Someday. Tomorrow doesn’t look so good, but maybe Friday. Or not. Right now I’m just going to play things by ear.
